LO2 Plan an interactive media product

My product

Plan 1:

I have been tasked with creating a website For this unit I want to create a Website for myself that can be used to sell beats and features to promote myself as an artist and forward my music career into a more professional future. 

Client needs

Personally , I want my users to download my beats and access my socials via my website. To do this I will have to add these links into my website and allow my users to access these at any time. However I don't want them to imisiatly leave the website once joining and in order to do this I will have to make sure to include page links on the home page that send the user to useful places on the website. Such as the beats page. 

User needs

A user of my website would want to download loops for free in attempts to be a rapper or artist. So when designing my website I will need to direct them to these pages using simple, short words that can allow them to navigate themselves to the correct page to find the loops. When on the correct page I will allow the to easily download the loops from my Soundcloud. I have strode away from directing my users to another website until now as in order to download the loops they must be directed to another website. There are ways I can fix this issue, as I can put each MP3 file for the loop into my website. However, this method has proven to be time consuming and would also effect the transition time for my website to load. So this is the only viable option for now.  Even so Users still have the ability to contact me and ask for a commissioned beat that they could use. This adds another level of interactivity for the user and allows me the client, to respond to my fans personally. 

For users wanting to learn how to make beats and loops, I can implement videos and images that I have created into my website. I have also linked Artists and creators that have inspired me to become a producer and artist in hopes that they will also learn from them.

The website will be complete with videos that show users who I am and my previous work as an artists. Plus, users would be able to click on links that send them to my socials and streaming sites. I will take inspiration from websites such as Beat-stars and Youtube that let users listen to the beats have basket features like amazon that allow users to order multiple things at once. 

My target audience is Hip Hop artists who want to collaborate or who are fans of my music. I am hoping that Young artists in England around Doncaster will be able to visit my website which would promote my brand to a wider target audience. It will be targeted to a wide range of races, genders, and ethnicities, but I will specifically target to adults and young teens that live in areas similar to Doncaster,  in an attempt to spread awareness of my brand to widen my target audience that  market towards.

The purpose of my product would be to allow artists online to buy beats, features and promos that they can use to better help both our careers in the music industry. By promoting the website on all of my socials I am hoping that it can hopefully also increase my audience and streaming numbers on my music. 

The webpage needs to offer users the ability to buy with the MP3 or WAV version of a beat based off of the price they are wiling to pay. Plus, I will include version of the beat also for sale that would not include a producer tag. Offering users choice in what they want to buy while visiting my website. It will include many payment methods that users could use and also a shopping cart feature similar to Amazon in which they could buy one than one product. It will feature interacted videos of me explaining my work that users can watch to gain more information about me and my work. Furthermore, I will also feature the music video for Eternity that my team and I created on the website to show users my previous work in the music industry. This is because I am hoping to also use the website to show my skills as a music video producer for future endeavours. Plus, users would be able to click on links that send them to my socials and streaming sites. I will take inspiration from websites such as Beat-stars and Youtube that let users listen to the beats have basket features like amazon that allow users to order multiple things at once.

I will include a home page that users are sent to as soon as they load into the website. In this i will include many interactive features such as embedded, video content, audio content, and hyperlink buttons that send the user to different pages. This is so that the user can access a lot of the content on the website straight from the home page. I will also include little snippets of information that will let the user know what is featured on the website. 'All beats made by me for free' and be downloaded and used for with the intentention of making profit.
